Following the footsteps of MQM & Altaf Hussain

MQM is a trend setter, agree it or not, literally all the parties, groups, and personalities try to copy the Style of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain and the way of MQM. There are few people who are chosen by God to lead, very few of them have the luck to achieve their goals, and rarely there are people who come up with some new or revolutionary idea. No doubt, MQM Chief carries all the above characteristics and people love to copy or follow him intentionally or unintentionally.

Identification of Race Discrimination and Taking a Stand Against it:

It was MQM’s Chief Altaf Hussain who not only identified the discriminatory attitude of ruling class with some of the Races in Pakistan, but has taken a concrete stand against this. Following which now there are people or groups who are raising their voice against this system based on injustice and following the way MQM has shown to everyone to get their rights! The current movement for New Provinces in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa is an example of it.

Identifying the Root Cause – The Theory of 2% Vs 98%:

It was MQM’s Chief Altaf Hussain who for the first time not only identified that the prevailing obsolete Feudal System is the root cause of all corruption and injustice in the country but also a minority of 2% Elite Class is ruling 98% poor and middle class and is grabbing their rights! Now most of the politicians are using this theory of MQM to attract votes, and there are political or religious parties now talking about 98% poor and middle class and self proclaiming to be their representatives!

Working For the People not for their Voters Only:

Let it be the Municipal Government of 1987 or 2005 or let it be a Federal Government or Provincial Government, MQM has always worked for the people and not for their voters only. They worked even in those areas where they never secured a single vote. The recent developments in the islands of Karachi, Lyari Area of Karachi and in all 18 towns of Karachi under the banner of CDGK are an open example. Even, they worked in Azad Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa, Gilgit-Biltistan, Punjab, Balochistan and Sindh after Earthquake or Floods and these are the areas they never contested or secured votes.

It has not only incited other District Governments, but also Federal and Provincial Governments, other politicians, media persons, and general public even the rivals of MQM to quote its name with praise as an example.

Modernization and Technological Advancement:

It was the decade of 1990 when MQM had organized its structure on scientific bases and maintained a thorough record of all its workers, its achievement in polls and its important data electronically. For the first time in the history of Pakistan, MQM introduced a modern concept of communicating with each other when it introduced “Telephonic Address” or “Video Conferencing” of its leader Altaf Hussain while he was in exile and a State Operation was being carried out against it.

The history has witnessed that all those opponents who criticized heavily the Telephonic Address or Video Conferencing of MQM’s Chief, they had to adopt the same technique while in exile in Saudia Arabia or UAE.

Presence in the Virtual World – Go Online:

MQM is the first Political Organization of Pakistan which has gone Online and had launched a website http://www.mqm.org, later on a knowledge base named http://www.allaboutmqm.org had also introduced; beside this a vast number of its workers, voters and supporters are online and encountering the propaganda against it or spreading the philosophy of Mr. Hussain through a number of Socializing Web Forums and Web Sites.

Recently, some of the political or religious groups have adopted the idea and trying to show their presence online.

Activities in the Parliament:

MQM has not only introduced a new trend in the parliamentary history of Pakistan but also agitated others to follow it, by making, presenting, discussing, debating and promoting different ideas for the collective benefit of the masses. It is also a surprise that it always played the role of a true opposition while sitting in the Treasury Benches, it not only has given a clear message they don’t care about the Ministries or the benefits of Treasury Benches but also incited other groups to act the same way.

Mobilizing the Masses:

It has proved several times the power to mobilize the masses on one call. It can gather huge crowed and can arrange big rallies, conventions and demonstrations in very short time. Their Gatherings are exemplary in the sense that never even a single misshape has happened in their demonstrations and the crowd show their strong organization and agreement on their Leader’s requests and instructions. Only a 1, 2, 3, is needed to silent a gathering of Million.

Some Political Leaders or Groups tried to follow the same in their conventions but still they are far behind in reaching up to this level.

Opposing the Sectarian Divide, Extremism and Talibnization:

No doubt the credit goes to MQM for regaining and maintaining the Sectarian Harmony in Karachi, otherwise Karachi was witnessing the worst sectarian divide. It was also MQM who raised her voice against all sort of Extremism in the country. When the Government and all the political and religious groups were going into an agreement with Taliban Militants in Swat, it was only MQM who not only opposed it but had warned for worst outcome.

Now the nation has admitted all this after suffering a lot by suicide bombings across the country.

Call for Revolution:

When Mr. Hussain had given the call for Revolution, almost all the Political and Religious Groups had not only rejected the idea but had shown their anger over it. Some of them had declared Mr. Hussain a traitor and enemy of democracy, some of them had laughed at him, but now all of them are not only agreed but also presenting their version of Revolution. Some of them are giving the call of Long March; some of them are looking for any Khilafat type system. A group is ready to welcome Revolution through Ballot!

The Bottom Line:

Whatever there would be the way, it is important that they all are now following the Footsteps of MQM and its Leader Altaf Hussain.

A Question:

In the last I would like to ask a question, we know that Orville Wright and Wilbur Wright had invented the airplane, Neil Alden Armstrong was the first human stepped on the surface of the moon and Hafeez jalaundhary had written the National Anthem of Pakistan and we all admit it, then even after knowing that we are following the footsteps of MQM and Altaf Hussain, why are we hesitant to admit it?

March – The Beginning

Originally, the Month of March was the first month of the Roman calendar. It was only 1752 when we adopted Gregorian calendar and the Month of January as the beginning of the year. No matter it is January or March, our objective is to measure the time, but not in all the cases, sometimes this matters too!

The month of March has a significant importance in our history. It was the month we started our struggle, to get an ideal State, which became our destiny. The Resolution of Pakistan was presented, passed and got recognition among the people on 23rd March 1940, and yes it was our beginning!

This resolution was aimed to get Greater Autonomy or Self Decision Making for the Muslims of British India, which was interpreted by many as a Demand for separate homeland, in both the cases the ultimate beneficiary would be Muslims. But, today after 63 years of independence we are still there where we had started our struggle, that time the Colonial Masters were exploiting our rights, and now their slaves are performing this job, but the victims are the same! The vast majority of poor and middle class people!

During this whole journey we have witnessed several Civil and Military Rulers, each one was bound to his wishes circle and with the lust of power and money, and to achieve which they have written their orders with the blood of the poor people.

Honestly speaking, isn’t it our fault we elect the same corrupt and incompetent rulers? And when they start exploiting our rights we start hue and cry, we prefer to watch the drama instead of supporting or helping our own people when they are in need.

As Allam Iqbal had said :

فرد قائم ربط ملّت سے ھے تنہا کچھ نہیں

موج ھے دریا میں اور بیرون دریا کچھ نہیں

It clearly gives us a message of Unity, Faith and Discipline as given by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Now, as 63 years has passed, let us decide, that we will consider this March as the beginning of a new era, when we will struggle to get back our lost dignity. We will not sit in the homes watching others to plunder our lives. Let us come out as we always come out to cherish a victory in any Cricket Match, as our National Integrity our Self Respect is more important than any cricket match.

Let us consider this March as the First Month in the History of our Nation to begin the struggle to embrace Revolution!
