When in September last year in a General Workers Convention in Karachi, MQM’s Chief Altaf Hussain has spoken about revolution, many people and his opponents had criticized him heavily. Everyone had been asking if such a thing is possible? There had been hot debates live and on electronic media including internet. Dozens of Articles against or in favour of him had been written.
Not later than a few months, the world had witnessed turmoil in Tunis, resulted in the shape of a Revolution last month when President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali had to escape after huge protests and violence against him. Earlier Kyrgyzstan had faced the same situation when President Kurmanbek Bakiyev had to flee after bloody riots and huge protests against him. But seems that Tunisian Revolution has instigated other nations too, to stand up and fight for their rights.
Egypt, following Tunis has become battle field between Opponents and Supporters of President Hosni Mubarak, ruling the country for 30 years. The public is demanding him to immediately step down even after his assurance of not taking part in next Presidential Polls to be held in September this year. Observing the situation, King Abdullah II of Jordon has sacked the Government and Yemeni President has announced to not take part in next elections expecting the Egypt like situation in their countries too. Algeria is already facing riots and protests against President Abdelaziz Bouteflika. Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad has heavily resisted the call of revolution and jailed many of his critics.
Fearing Revolution, all the rulers are taking safety measures to save their regime. Some are offering fringe benefits; some are assuring their departure soon. Some still wants to stick up with their rule, but besides this, if we see the situation in Pakistan, we will see the same corruption, crimes, unrest, worst law and order situation, terrorism and royal life of the rulers. Since MQM’s chief has raised the call for Revolution almost all the leaders has accepted the need of it and presenting their own sketch, but they are not ready to refrain their selves.
If we look closely, the ground realities of the countries facing agitation or riots against their rulers are similar like in Pakistan. The Elite Class is captured and reserved all the resources for themselves only, and has left the deprived people to commit suicide. Inflation has turned the societies to Alien Extremes where rich are becoming richer and poor are becoming poorer. When such situation occurs in a society, then there is no solution except for a Revolution.
Apparently everyone is talking now about revolution but none of them appears to be ready to lead any revolution or at-least to welcome it except MQM Chief, who by his moves, has showed that he is not only ready to lead the revolution but also has the plan and road map to undergo it.
Those, who are involved in Corruption, Crimes, Terrorism and Extremism, must keep in mind the revolution in Kyrgyzstan, and Tunis and must keep the circumstances of Algeria, Egypt, Syria, Yemen and Jordon into consideration. They accept it or not, but the Political Climate is at a Great Change throughout the world. Now people are more aware of their rights and are more willing to snatch it if not given, and the same process is underway in Pakistan, hence, the ruling elite class must stop exploiting the poor and must keep in mind Pakistanis are more Violent Nation than anyone else.
